Star Sports to Broadcast NPL T20 2024 Globally
|Nepalese cricket is set to reach new heights as Star Sports has been confirmed as the global broadcast partner for the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) officially announced that Star Sports, one of the world’s most popular sports networks, will broadcast all matches of the inaugural edition of the NPL.
At a press conference held on Friday, CAN also revealed Siddhartha Bank as the title sponsor for the league. Speaking at the event, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka described the partnership as a significant milestone: “This is a big achievement. It’s not as simple as just paying money to have Star Sports broadcast the NPL. This recognition comes from the achievements of Nepali cricket, our players, and our coaches.”
The inclusion of Star Sports as the broadcast partner provides a tremendous boost for the NPL, bringing Nepal’s franchise cricket to a global stage. With Star Sports securing the broadcasting rights, the NPL matches will be aired live not only in Nepal but also in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bhutan. Additionally, viewers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and countries like the UAE and Singapore will also have access to the league.
